Chris Anderson comes from Cary, NC, just outside of Raleigh, began playing guitar in 1964 and started performing professionally in 1974. He attended the University Of Arizona in Tucson and later studied at the University Of North Carolina School Of Music.
Chris has performed at Opryland Hotel in Nashville, Tennessee, and throughout the eastern United States; including Hilton Head Island, SC, Chattanooga, TN, Kings Dominion, VA, Tucson, AZ, Boston, MA, Philadelphia, PA, The World's Fair in Knoxville, TN, Greenville and Spartanburg, SC, Savannah, GA., Charleston, SC, Wilmington, Greensboro, Cary, Raleigh, Durham, and Chapel Hill, NC.
With current band members, a set list would consist of contemporary and traditional bluegrass, original songs, instrumentals, classical and fiddle tunes. Recent performances include Cindy's House Cafe, North Carolina Railroad Museum, Cary Downtown Farmers' Market, Gallery Cafe, Prestonwood and Macgregor Downs Country Clubs. Chris is a member of the Apex Arts Council and the Cary Chamber of Commerce.
Previous performances include The Malcolm Blue Bluegrass Festival, Page Walker Historical Museum, Goodmark Convention, McCains Irish Pub, Cary Days Festival, Six String Cafe Anniversary Celebration, and the 1st Annual Chapel Hill Music Festival.
Band members have included Gail Leonard on upright Bass, Dennis Severt on mandolin and vocals, Jeff Kimble on banjo, Matt Hooper and Johnny Hoffman on fiddle, and Chris Anderson on guitar, harmonica, and vocals. Occasionally, Cole Smothers will perform on guitar, and Jay Parsons on mandolin.
